Summary
  • Applications are invited, from suitably qualified and experienced candidates, aged between 45 and 55 and qualified with a suitable engineering degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, to fill a Consultant role to be based in Myanmar.
  • The position is ‘Competency Assurance Management System (CAMS) Specialist’. The position will be a rotational work cycle of 21 days’ work period followed by 21 days off. (Travel days to/from ‘point of hire’ are included in the off days period.)
  • The successful candidate will ideally be living in the Asia region, have a minimum of 20 years of experience in the offshore oil and gas industry, having held a supervisory role and with at least the last 5 years in a Competency Assurance and Assessment, or comparable Training and Development, role. This is predominantly an offshore position but will also entail periods at Company onshore Gas plant and therefore medical fitness is essential. There may also be some very short office based periods, in Yangon.
Job Description
  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Reporting to the offshore facility OIM or onshore facility Superintendent as relevant;
  • • Responsible for the day-to-day processes involved in personnel development and skills assessment.
  • • Responsible for administration of the CAMS system and records.
  • • Ensures strict implementation, co-ordination and control of Company CAMS.
  • • Conducts training and mentoring in CAMS for site supervisors and technician grades, as required, to further progress the competence assurance, knowledge base and skills of field and plant personnel.
  • • Provide advice and guidance to nominated CAMS assessors, ensuring that the CAMS intent is put into practice, consistently and equitably.
  • • Further Develop senior site staff Competency Assessment roles.
  • • Develop and introduce the higher levels of CAMS, leading to Supervisory Competence levels and beyond, for Company staff.
  • • Ensures that site operations and maintenance team members are instructed in the CAMS requirements and promotes self-development.
  • • Contributes to Skills Gap and Training Needs analysis for further development of site personnel.
  • • Provides guidance & supervision to Maintenance and Production Supervisors relating to their CAMS responsibilities.
  • • Administers the site Competency Assurance Management System.
  • • Monitor and review the implementation and content of relevant procedures to ensure they meet the needs of the facility and any legislative requirements.
  • • Administers Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports, CAMS reports.
  • • Contributes to other elements of site operations and management as requested.
  • • Assists with Performance appraisal reviews and site personal issues as available.
  • • Attend site Head of Department and other relevant site meetings and provides regular updates on CAMS development, compliance and progress.
  • • Attend regular Emergency Response drills and exercises as directed.
