COENS GLS, expands into the offshore wind farm industry

On July 16th and 21st, COENS GLS participated as a marine contractor in the installation of Floating Lidar Buoys’ in Geomun-do and Maenggol-do, areas near the southern coast of Korea.
These works main purpose was to install weather observation buoys, meant to obtain reliable wind and ocean data to help an Australian floating wind development company come to an FID decision for their proposed offshore wind power project. To this end, COENS GLS was responsible for the regulatory affairs dealing with licensing, as well as the arrangement of support vessels. In addition COENS GLS also dealt with assembly of the buoys’, inspection of all equipment and materials, to be used for the installation of the Lidar Buoy.
